Important: Upcoming Scheduled Hosting Upgrade

Scheduled for Thursday 29th October 2026 at 2:30pm GMT

Schedule/description of work

As part of our ongoing commitment to delivering reliable, secure, and high-performance hosting services, we will be migrating your shared hosting environment to our cloud-based infrastructure.

This migration is designed to improve performance, enhance security, and provide greater stability and scalability to support your growing business.

What’s Changing?

1. Email Service Migration: MailEnable to SmarterMail

MailEnable will be discontinued and replaced with SmarterMail. Your existing mailboxes and email data will be migrated as-is.

2. MySQL Database Configuration

MySQL will be hosted locally on your web server instead of on a remote database server. Our migration scripts will attempt to update the existing remote MySQL connection settings to localhost automatically.

3. Website Statistics: AWStats to Webalizer

AWStats will be discontinued, and website statistics will remain accessible through the Webalizer interface. No action is required from your end for this change.

What Do You Need to Do?

1. If You Use Our Hosting Name Servers

No action is required. We will update the necessary MX records after the migration is completed.

2. If You Use External DNS or Third-Party Name Servers

If your domain's DNS is managed by a third-party provider, you will need to update the mail-related DNS records using the new mail server details once they are communicated.

Please ensure that the records are configured in the following format:

<yourdomain.com> IN MX mail.<yourdomain.com>
mail.<yourdomain.com> IN A 66.116.230.25

To minimize potential email disruption during the transition, we recommend reducing the TTL (Time to Live) of the relevant DNS records to 300 seconds (5 minutes) before the migration, wherever possible.

3. Verify Your MySQL-Dependent Applications

After the migration, please verify that your websites and applications that rely on MySQL are functioning correctly. If any application uses a hardcoded remote database IP address, you may need to update its connection settings to localhost.

Need Assistance?

If you require assistance with DNS updates, MySQL connection settings, or email configuration following the migration, please contact our Support Team. We will be happy to assist you.
