Check availability issue

On investigating further our development team noticed that the periodic cache reload function that gets triggered from the application to keep the data up to date was failing intermittently for the past 3-4 days which resulted in the old cache getting expired.

They also noticed a load issue on one of the servers on the cluster which was mitigated.

The development team then manually reloaded the data back to the server which was required for the check availability functionality to work. Once this was completed the check availability functionality was restored.

Investigating

We are currently experiencing an intermittent issue with domain check availability service on Orderbox for most of the TLDs. 


Any check availability calls made via API or Supersite would either not respond or may yield an error. Supersite would show the search results as unavailable and API would return an unknown error.


Our development team is currently investigating this issue to get the service back up at the earliest.
