The issue with the email service and webmail login has been resolved.
As per our server administration team, the root cause of the issue was identified as a load on our database server as queries and connections were being dropped and the application was unable to connect to the required server nodes.
The Database Administration Team reset the connection pool and this fixed the issue.

The issue resurfaced once again today at around 13:30 IST/08:00 GMT and lasted for about 10 minutes, until 13:40 IST/08:10 GMT.
Primary investigations revealed that queries were piling up on ProxySQL. Database connections were being dropped and the application was unable to connect to the MySQL nodes.
The Database Administration Team reset the connection pool and this fixed the issue. As of now you should not face any issues while logging into the Webmail interface.
We are awaiting further details from the Database Administration Team and will update this post once we have a detailed RCA handy.
The issues with Webmail login have now been fixed and services are operational.
We are continuously monitoring our Servers to ensure that services are stable.
You may have experienced intermittent 504 Gateway Timeout errors on our Email Infrastructure while logging into the Webmail interface at around 12:15 IST / 06:45 GMT. The issue lasted until about 13:15 IST / 07:45 GMT.
Primary investigations revealed that there was an issue with Cloudflare and legitimate traffic was being dropped. The System Administration Team then routed traffic via a different set of IPs which fixed the issue. As of now you should not face any issues while logging into the Webmail interface.
Our System Administration Team is coordinating with Cloudflare to figure out the root cause of this issue. We are also monitoring our infrastructure to ensure seamless delivery of services.
