We have investigated and found that the connection to Let’s Encrypt server has been failing which is causing temporary issues. Let’s Encrypt has been contacted by our Server Administration Team and we shall update this thread once we receive an update from them.
You might face the below error when attempting to install a free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate using the Cpanel >> SSL/TLS Status >> “Run AutoSSL” option.
=====
“Let’s Encrypt™” DCV error (domain.com): The ACME function “https://acme-v01.api.letsencrypt.org/acme/new-authz” indicated an error: “Error creating new authz :: too many currently pending authorizations: see https://letsencrypt.org/docs/rate-limits/ (The request exceeds a rate limit)” (429, “Too Many Requests”, urn:acme:error:rateLimited).
=====
This has been escalated to our Server Administration Team and they are currently checking this further with the Let’s Encrypt Team.
