Root Cause Analysis:
One of our Supersite servers had stopped functioning. On checking, our System Administration team figured that the IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management Interface) was also not reachable.
To avoid further damage, our System Administration team routed the services to our secondary server. The primary server was later rebooted post applying the kernel patch.
Post this change, traffic was served from both the primary and secondary servers which ensured that the services started functioning seamlessly.
Our System Administration Team closely monitored the server, to ensure there are no reoccurrences of the issue.
