We have received the following update from the EU registry.
This afternoon, we(.EU Registry) experienced a critical incident affecting our Registration Platform. The issue began around 12:30 CET due to a malfunction in the platform. To carefully manage the situation, we temporarily suspended EPP and registry.eu services from 15:10 to 19:10 CET. The incident was caused by an overload in our queuing system triggered by internal operations, compounded by the failure of an internal safety mechanism.
The issue has now been resolved.
We have received an update from the Registry that the EPP issue causing the registration and renewal failure has been fixed.
You will now be able to place .eu domain registrations and also renew existing domains without any issue.
We will continue to monitor and provide another update shortly.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
The .EU Registry is currently facing technical difficulties and is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
As a result, there are connectivity problems with EPP and registry.eu, which means you will not be able to register, renew, transfer, manage, or perform WHOIS look-ups for .EU domains at this time.
Please note that domains that have already been registered and are functioning (resolving to destination pages) will continue to operate as usual.
We will provide updates and notify you once the issue has been identified and resolved.
We appreciate your continued support and use of our service. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our support team.
